Book early! The Ashes start on Friday December 3rd.
The TechNet 10 Organising Committee recommends that delegates and families choose to stay in Glenelg which is a short distance to the Flinders University, Bedford Park campus the site of the conference venue. There are a wide range of accommodation options available at Glenelg, suitable for any budget, plus a large range of restaurants to tempt the palate.
In this accommodation portfolio a selection of accommodation in Glenelg and closer to the University is listed below to give delegates a starting point; however we do not specifically recommend any one place.
There is a combination of special rates and block bookings which are available to delegates and that information is contained in the individual accommodation listing.
Please contact the individual venues to make your booking. Use the appropriate introduction listed in each individual venue under the heading Bookings.
NOTE: There is an Ashes Test Cricket Match between England and Australia starting in Adelaide on Friday 3 December and accommodation is being booked 12 months in advance. Please make your accommodation selection early and secure it by booking.
In some cases the block booking which we have secured is held for delegates up to 31 October 2010.
Transport to and from Glenelg
A free daily shuttle bus service will run from Glenelg to Flinders University on each day of the Conference and for the Conference Dinner.
The bus will depart Glenelg at a location specified at 8.00 am. each morning, and will depart Flinders University at a nominated time in the afternoon.
More information about the shuttle bus will be provided closer to the conference date and at the registration desk during the conference.
